Welcome to my journal

Pictures...

Adding alot more pics and will upload a new youtube link soon.

In a few days I will be changing my site over to another site that I can post pics and video in the journal part, I know it's annoying have to click on different links and such.  We got this page free for one year from our first 4D ultrasound.  It will end in January.  It's funny, when they told us we had the page for a year back in January, it seemed like that would be so far off.  I was only 18 weeks pregnant then.  Now she's here and the time won't slow down for anything.  I just want to hold her and rock her and have time stop for a couple of hours.  She's literally growing and changing every minute of the day.

12 weeks!

It seems surreal that 12 weeks have already passed.  It's funny, you spend 9 months wondering what your life will be like once your baby is here, then the rest of your life trying to imagine how you fully lived before them.

This past weekend is further proof that I have the best baby in the world!!  We got a cabin in the Smokies, near Douglas Lake, and she adapted wonderfully!!  Our original plan was to go straight to Splash Country on friday, to get there at 3:05 because after 3pm, the next day is free.   Unfortunately, the weather was the yuckiest it's been in weeks so we went straight to the cabin and watched it rain.  We did run back out for groceries, but other than that, the weekend was for relaxing and Splash Country.  The girls headed straight for the hot tub and boiled themselves!  Needless to say, since it was so hot they opted to try agian in a bit.  They then headed upstairs to shoot some pool, and mom got to hit the tub for a bit!!  I got a good 10 minutes in before Aubree decided it was her dinner time, can't say I relaxed to much though, as Bailey and Britton decided they wanted back in since it had cooled off some.  So after we all had dinner, I decided to lay her down for abit to see if I could get her to sleep, it was around 9pm. At this time, Dad had decided he needed some relaxing time, and headed to the hot tub to listen to his ipod and enjoy a beer.  She went right out, and the coolest thing, was the hot tub was on the deck right outside her window, so we opened the blinds and window, and viola!  we could watch her snooze.  And snooze she did, right up until her first hunger spell around 3am, then slept til 830am.  We then spent the entire next day, 11am-530pm. at Splash Country where once again she was an absolute doll.  We took her big jeep stroller that lays down for her to nap in.  she went to sleep for her first nap about 15 miutes after we got there, I got her out and fed her and put her back in and walked her around for a bit.  With all the noise, she was out in minutes.  She slept for about 2 hours.  Scott, Bailey and Britton in the mean time, got to enjoy all the waterslides.  The park was pretty empty so it was nice.  After sliding for a bit they came back and we did lunch, and so did Miss Aubree.  We got her out and laid her on her blanket for abit and she loved it.  Dad took his resting turn then and me, Bailey and Britton went to sliding. I can't say how much fun it was!!  I love waterslides!!!  So she ended up sleeping again for a couple of hours and we really got to enjoy our time there.  No crowds, not to hot, and a good baby made for a great day!  They have nursing rooms there too which are really nice.  They are climate controlled, and a decent size.  They have a rocking chair, changing table, and sink and you can lock the door.  Aubree and I spent some time in there and I'll have to say it was really nice having that option.  There were also several covered areas to lay and put your blanket to stay out of the sun.

So, what a great weekend, what a great life!!!!  I've never felt luckier in my life and I absolutely love the feeling every morning when I wake up!!  It's a GREAT life!

Thoughts From Daddy (written by Daddy)
In the past week I have had a recurring thought.  This thought keeps popping into my head when I'm at work, when I'm eating, when I brush my teeth, on my drive to work, my drive home and when I'm about to go to sleep.  Changing a diaper at 4 o'clock in the morning, can't keep the thought from finding it's way into my conscience.  In fact, the thought hits me harder then than some of the other times.  Actually the thought is really a Question that I keep keep asking myself.  The Question probably has no answer, which is very unfortunate, because the answer has become of utmost importance to me.  So important that it is tormenting me, as I have already discussed.  The actual definition of question means "an expression of inquiry that invites or calls for reply".  That brings some relief to me because someone out there may read this and have the answer and I certainly invite replies especially if you can answer The Question.  Another definition of question is: a difficult matter.  Again, this definition does truly describe the situation that I'm in, because it is difficult for me to live from day to day without knowing What I Can Do So That My Daughter Loves Me For The Rest Of My Life.  Me loving her for the rest of her life will not be Difficult.  From the day she was born, I've known that.  That is not the question.  The Question is how can I let her see the limitless feelings that I have for her and how can I get a portion of that love back from her spread throughout my life so that daddy's heart doesn't get broken into a million pieces.

11 weeks!!

Aubree,

I'll just start off by reminding you, like you could ever forget, that you are the best baby in the world!!!  To prove my point even further, not only were you a perfect little angel all day and evening yesterday, but last night I laid you in your crib around 9pm, so mommy could get in some reading time, and you watched your Rainforest mobile, then drifted off to sleep without a peep.  Then, to make matters even better, you slept for over 3 hour, I hate to admit mommy sorta slept through your fussing, and daddy had to rescue you from your crib and bring you to our room to eat.  I just settled you back in my bed and off to sleep until 5am this morning.  Right now while mommy types this, you are laying on the bed talking to your papaw.  He is very impressed with your extensive vocabulary and you are making sure he listens to you and doesn't talk to mommy.  We're getting ready to run to Target and shop!!  Tomorrow we are going to Gatlinburg to stay in a cabin for 2 nights and mommy has decided in order to make your trip more enjoyable, you need the Rainforest play mat.  I read on another mommys site that her little girl loves it and she also mentioned it has lights, and anything with lights and music, you automatically enjoy.  I believe you get your love of music from your daddy.  One day, probably before you even start walking, you'll learn the guitar inside and out I feel sure.

Well, we're off to shop!  Your tummy is full and if we go quick, we'll be home for nap time.  God knows, home is about the only place you get your full 2 hour nap in.
