Additional Items....

After reading RFB's favorite things, I realized I had left one out!!!

Medela Lactina Breast Pump--All I can say for this thing is awesome!  Its super quite, can do both at once or one at a time.  Only things I would change, are the case (its a hard plastic one that sux!) and if it could wash its own attachments that would be great!  I swear, I spend more time washing the cups, bottles, etc., than I do pumping!!

Scary Movies
Last night me, Bailey and Aubree made beds in my bedroom floor and settled down to watch some good ol' Goosebumps movies.  I knew Bailey, being like me, after watching something scary would not want to sleep in her bed by herself, so I made hers comfy enough to sleep all night on.  It was so nice laying there, just us girls, relaxing and hanging out.  I know at 10, those times that she wants to spend with mommy will start being few and far between so I have to enjoy them while I can.  It was quite a chore trying to get her to settle down and go to sleep once the movies were over, she kept on goofing off and making me giggle.  At one point she had me laughing so hard my side started hurting.  It's REALLY hard being stern when a smile is threatening to take over your face.  We laughed and laughed, rubbed eachothers backs, tickled eachothers arms, and finally fell asleep.  It reminded me alot of my childhood, when a friend would sleep over, we'd play the "write on your back game", to guess what the other person was writing, just usiing it as an excuse cause it felt so good to have your back tickled.  Bailey and her friends do that and it makes me miss it.  And also, realize that before I know it, Aubree wil be doing it too.   Time really does fly, and each day we have the opportunity to either live it happy and well, or not.  I like to think I've really started living mine in a good way.  I honestly do have a wonderful life, with not only healthy, wonderful blessings as children, but the most wonderful husband and marriage too!!

Halloween

We spent some time last weekend putting up halloween decorations and closing the pool, two sure reminders that fall is here!  Even though the temperature was 80.  I guess I can honestly say this is the warmest it's ever been while closing the pool, and for putting up Halloween decor as well.  Seems strange to be thinking of pumpkins when you can wear tank tops and shorts out.

I've posted new pics and will update more later.  Aubree has started rolling over in the last couple of weeks and isn't real thrilled when she gets there...you would think that would stop her from doing it.....she's SO like her momma...

Baby things I couldn't live without

Ok, so another girl said she was going to make her list, so I thought I would work on mine.  It may be edited from time to time until I remember it all.

Fisher Price Bouncer seat---one of my faves.  Not only is it great for nap time, but it seems when Miss Aubree hasn't made a poopy in a bit, it always seems to jiggle it out of her....interesting....

Rain Forest Travel Swing---wonderful invention!!  Wish I had bought this sooner!!  It's compact, folds up nicely, and has the comfiest looking seat of any swing I've seen.  We have the big pink Graco one and the legs don't fold at all, and are unusually big so you can hardly get it through a door way.  We wanted one upstairs and one downstairs, and honestly, I've carried this one both to use it instead of the Graco one.

Rain Forest mobile---She loves this much more than the Zanzibar one we bought to match her nursery.  It has leaves that are sparkly inside and fan up and down, plus bright colored animals she likes to watch.  The actual part that hangs on the crib is lit up, and she really digs anything with lights so she loves watching it too.  Another awesome part, it is remote controlled and you can hang the controller on the door, so you don't have to be "spotted" to restart it for her.  And it lasts 18 minutes, WAY longer than the wind up ones.

Rain Forest play mat---Honestly, at first, for 60 bucks I expected (and still do) this thing to do more.  It really doesn't do anything, but have a simon like light board on top.  She does love to watch that though.  And if we hang one of the toys down far enough, she likes trying to kick it and grab it.  The only thing, the mat isn't that big so she will probably grow out of it soon.

Bumbo Seat---Haven't gotten a whole lot of use out of this quite yet, but I know I'll love it when we can use it more.  It holds her in the setting position and she loves to set up.  It also has a tray you can put on it and she can play with toys, or later when she is eating.  Seems easier than a highchair too, can set it in a booth with you at a restaurant, wouldn't set it in a chair by itself.

Boppy--This is a breast feeders best friend!!!  I love having this thing, even though I don't use it as much.  It's really cool that you can rest it on the arms of a rocking chair and it puts the baby at perfect level for feeding.  It's also nice and soft on her back and comfy for her, and eliminates having to put my hard arm under her.

Jeep Stroller---This is also Scotts favorite thing.  It is huge, and can cover any terrain.  It is a must for the beach, there is no way the regular stroller would have made it through the sand.  It reclines nicely and is roomy and she absolutely loves napping in it.  I could park it in the shade out near the pool and she would fall asleep within minutes.  It has mesh sides too, so she gets a nice breeze.  It even folds up as compact as the regular stroller.

16 Weeks and random things to remember..

The time I was breast feeding 2 week old Aubree at the Fun Fest concert, and forgot to cover my boob back up afterwards while burping her....the cool air was a dead give away.

How Aubree in the last 2 weeks has started turning over, unfortunately not pulling her other arm out from under herself, so she is pretty much stuck on her face, and hates it.

That she is the happiest baby ever!  Always smiling and laughing, from the moment she wakes up.

How her little legs are still "frog style" alot, but are starting to stretch out more and more.  She still sometimes does that little curl up when you pick her up.

How she sleeps on her side, with her little hands curled together like she's praying, while mommy is literally doing that watching her sleep....thanking God every second for her.

How good Bailey is with her and how proud Bailey is of her.  She is always bragging or saying "Oh, mommy she's just so cute"  She literally cant get enough of her either and is such a wonderful big sister.

How delightful a new baby makes everything.  It's even fun going to the grocery store so I can stare at her and make funny faces and watch her laugh.

How freakin terrified I am of everything now.  Germs are a huge enemy!

How sweet she looks in her pink pajamas sleeping...or doing anything really

How she starts to babble at around 8ish to let us know, "Hey it's bedtime here!!"

How she likes to root up against anything, I guess looking for a boobie....

How she "fusses" at my boob until it's out of the bra and ready to go.

How she sets forward in her reclining car seat to try to get her mouth to the buckle so she can chew on it.

How she likes to stare at her hands while moving them just cause she can.

How she has started working on her toes and feet, and tries and tries to get them  in her mouth.
