Today hasn't been fun at all. I should have known not to be to thankful that she didn't feel the shots and that would be the end of it. Aubree started running a fever of 100.2 about 2am and getting fussy. I know it's a somewhat common vaccination reaction, but it still doesn't make it suck any less. Now, 12 hours later, at 232pm, she is still running a fever but is such a trooper! She gets fussy periodically, but she's still been smiling and talking away. She kicks alot so I hope that helps work the soreness out. I've been doing Tylenol every 4 hours, and I swear I dont know if it's working or not. She feels warm all the time. 100.2 has been the highest it has gotten however, and her docs office said it was normal and only if it got above 101.5 would they be alarmed. I hope its the shots and not some wormy germ we picked up at the docs office. I wish there was a place totally separate you could go for well child and shots. Ours has a well baby waiting room, but still, its not that area you need to worry about. It's the common weigh in, height check area, and the rooms in general. Our peditricians office even makes well child appointments only in the mornings, but there is still a sick walk in or something, never fails. She didnt have any fever at all with her 2 month shots so I never imagined the 4 months would affect her. The weather all of a sudden got all crazy too. Bailey is in Gatlinburg with her grandparents, so daddy and I had the chance to watch something on our own last night. We did dinner and a movie in the den!! We rented Mr. Brooks which I have been wanting to see. Of course I am always freaked out anyways by scary movies, but right at a good part into the movie, the power went out. And stayed out. We were downstairs so it was so black I couldnt even see Aubree on my lap. Of course paranoid me thought the worst. We made it upstairs and looked out and the whole neighborhood was out. Still creepy though!!! We ended up crawling in bed and calling it a night. Woke up at 215 and the power was on by then, but Aubree was running a fever. I got her back to sleep after a bit of fussing, and she woke up at 545 fussy again. Poor baby! She is handling it well though. Makes me even more thankful for the healthy baby I have.
Soo, hope to finish my movie tonight without any interruptions.......and hopefully Aubree will feel better soon!
