4 month shots!!

Yuck.  I have dreaded this appointment for the last two weeks!!  You would really think that there would be an easier less painful way to vaccinate babies.  This time wasn't bad at all though.  Other than when trying to put the lidocaine on her little legs, it was like wrestling an octopus!  Her legs were all saran wrapped up and looked horrible!  I liked to never got the saran wrap off!  That stuff works if you leave it on long enough though!!  It was on for about an hour and a half this time so had she had a full tummy and it wasn't nap time, the visit would have been perfect!  As it was, she was an angel though.  Her appointment was at 945.  The office was running so late, she didn't get her shots until about 1050 though.  So, not only did we hit feeding time, we also hit nap time.  she was so happy and laughing and talking to the doctor.  Only toward the end did she start the "im hungry and So in need of a nap" squeal, and even then she smiles when she does it.  I went ahead and fed her and she dozed for about 5 minutes or so.  Then I had to wake her for the shots.  She took it well, chewed on my knuckle and wanted to be back asleep.  The nurse said "I dont think she felt those at all" and I was like "see, told you so".  They always swear the lidocaine doesn't work.  I know it does, it just needs plenty of time to absorb. Either that or Aubree has a high tolerance for pain like her mommy does.  So, since she was such a good girl and really needed another toy she isnt really ready for yet, we had to go to Walmart and get her a exer saucer.  The girls from our other office had gotten me one before she was born, and I had ended up taking it back for something we would need sooner than the saucer.  So now that she (mommy) is ready for one, I got the same one I had registered for.  She isn't real bouncy in it yet, I just more or less got it for her to be able to put her in another position to explore.  The swing is to restricting and makes her want to nap, the bouncy seat she is just about to big for, the bumbo is to clsoe to the floor, and her high chair gets really boring to her cause her head barely clears the tray.  It's nice to have something to put them in while I cook, fold laundry, or whatever.  And it will help build her leg muscles.  She still has a little growing to do to get the full use out of it, but it least it will keep her amused.  Daddy will probably kill me, cause I have a real problem when it comes to buying to much for both my girls.  I really think this is the last thing I want though, well except for a easier more portable stroller.  I can't stand trying to get that big Jeep stroller out, or the one that goes with her car seat.  They both take up most of the trunk, and are such a pain getting in and out.  There is a cute Jeep one at Walmart, not a jogger like I have, but the smaller one, and I tried it out today.  It does fold really easy, with one hand even, and stands up so you don't have to pick it up off of the ground which is nice.  I want to check with Babies R Us too.  I may ask for that for her for Christmas, but would actually like it before then though.  We are getting a cabin for 4 nights over Thanksgiving and will probably do lots of walking downtown Gatlinburg showing Aubree the Christmas lights.  It would be easier to take a smaller stroller, plus free up some trunk space for all the other things baby we need!  So I probably should have gotten the stroller instead of the saucer....oh well.  I'll post some pics...

Bailey is in Galinburg with her grandparents (yes yet again).  That is what my dad wanted for his 59th birthday, was to take his girls to Gatlinburg.  I am sooo getting in the Christmas mood (Walmart will do that to you), shopping and decorating!!
