Slowed down by poopy....
Mornings in our house on weekdays are usually somewhat hectic.  Getting 3 females ready and out the door in a timely manner is pretty near impossible unless we follow a strict minute by minute schedule.  For example, I know I have exactly 10 minutes to pump in the morning, 3 minutes to brush my teeth, 11 minutes to get Bailey dressed and hair brushed, 4 minutes to run outside and get the car started to warm up, 4 minutes to make her breakfast, giving her 8 minutes to eat it, 3 minutes to get Aubrees diaper changed, 2 minutes to get Aubree in her car seat, 5 minutes for Bailey to wash her face and brush her teeth, 3 minutes to get her shoes on and tied, 1 minute to get downstairs and out the door, leaving me exactly 1 and a half minute to get my clothes on.  If we get off schedule in any way, its a real mess up.  I have only went back to work 2 days a week, so wednesday and thursday it's double important to adhere to the schedule cause I have to be somewhere too.  Monday, tuesday and friday we have a little more lee way.  Well this morning it was a obscenely full poopy diaper that did it.  In all honesty, we don't have to blame it on Aubree.  While it is true she was the pooper of the diaper, it has her sister that curtailed us so.  In the morning, to sometimes give me an extra 45 seconds to spend on myself, Bailey changes Aubrees diaper for me.  She usually goes out for the early morning school run in her pj's, but I always make sure she has a clean diaper.  Normally, no problem, big sis is an ace at the diaper duty now.  However, throw some poo to the mix, and forget it.  Let's just say I'm extremely lucky I didn't have to change Baileys clothes and start all over.  The slightest smell of poo, yes even her own, makes Bailey physically sick.  Sooo, even though we were running behind today, and it was doubly important for her to make the diaper swap, nothing could make her do it.  I am all for having kids do chores and help out around the house, but torture is just not something I could live with, and that is the equivalent for Bailey being around a poop diaper.  I remember one time, when Aubree was about 3 weeks old, we had taken her to the mall.  I had breast fed in public a couple times but still preferred total privacy to a bench and covering her with a blanket.  So, we were in Maurices when she woke up to eat, and I was going to feed her in the dressing room.  To kill to birds with one stone so to speak, and so they didn't think we were in there stealing clothes, to hurry things along, I asked Bailey to change her diaper while I fed her.  There may have been a poo spot about an inch wide, and Bailey wretched like it had come pouring out in her lap.  It was pretty humorous, but she had to quickly leave the stall.  And it was the huge handicap stall at that.  So, this morning, there was no way she was getting near that diaper.  When she yelled and told me it was a doody diaper, I told her to just leave it and I would get it when I got dressed.  So, the thing that ended up throwing us completely off kilter this morning, was not the poopy diaper.  It was the fact that Bailey failed to tell me she didn't even refasten the diaper, she just left it, for happy, kicking Aubree to spread and spread, all over the bed, her feet, her legs, and her outfit.  Yuck!  Sooooo, this morning needless to say got off to a crappy start :-)  The part that bothers me the most is the mommy guilt I feel from having to fuss to get her to speed things up.  I hate having to fuss at her in the morning and am just going to have to start getting up about 15 mintues earlier.  It ruins my whole day when I feel like I've dropped her off at school with her feelings hurt.  SO this is my New Years resolution, early.  To get up earlier in the mornings.  I dont' know where Aubree got her early morning rising skills from, but it sure wasn't me!!!
